Closing For A Week?

Best thing to do is probably lower PH to 7.2 and raise your FC to shock level. Have a neighbor stop by and add rppm of bleach every other day or so. Put a cover on it if you have one.

I just raise the water a couple inches to allow for evaporation and stuff a floater with trichlor pucks. If you have a cover, put it on. Assuming the pool chemistry is good right now, some Polyquat60 algaecide might buy you some peace of mind. It's lousy as a cure, but good as a preventative. (Although it's unnecessary in a pool that gets maintained regularly, so no one reading this should consider algaecide a substitute for chlorine. It's just for when no one is around to care for the pool)

The search box will provide you will many more ideas.
