First time pool owners just bought an Intex 18 round. We also purchased a Hayward thru the wall skimmer but keeping the cartridge pump til next year. We are confused on how to make the plumbing work without leaks and having flexibility. Got to have a valve in there somewhere too. The 1.5 to a 40 mm diameters using the hoses that came with the pool. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what I did:
Hose clamped the Intex hose to the tapered adapter on the skimmer, and moved the valve to the pump end of the hose.

How long is the filter output hose, not too long?
Also, is the hose type, is it for high pressure? The one going between pump and thhe filter input, make sure it can take the pressure, in these systems usually between 10 and 20psi.
