New pool, skimmer

Iv bought a new pool and I'm going to fit a wide mouth skimmer to it, as I did on my last pool.

My question is if I have the inlet at, say, 12 o'clock, what time is the best place for the skimmer to go, don't forget guys, I only have ONE chance at this lol.


Also, I have a sand filter running on my old pool, but I keep getting lots of fines in the bottom, very very fine dust, can anybody tell me why please.

And lastly for now, I have a SWG that came with the pool, does this go before or after the sand filter .

SWG goes after the filter. That's all I can contribute.

If your inlet is moving water counterclock-wise the skimmer would go in the 1 o'clock position.
