Cloudy Water ?

Hi-

Water was crystal clear, but the PH looked low in the 6.8 range after a week of rain. I added 5 oz of soda ash yesterday (per calculator) by just sprinkling into the pool and not via the sock slow release method, and just let the filter run for 4 hours.

Stats: 1800 Gal Intex
FC: BT 5 and 10
PH: BT 7.2 and 7.4
Replaced filter on Sunday night, so I don't think that's an issue

Can I assume the cloudiness is related to the soda ash being shaken up and after a few filter cycles will return to normal? Or do I need to take some corrective action?

Possibly. My PH was near 6.8

I had to add 3 or 4 15lb buckets of PH up to get it to 7.5

That clouded the water for a week, running pump 8 hrs a day.

In hindsight I should have just run it 24/7 til it was clear.
