Lighting placement - 20x40 double roman

I'm remodeling my 20x40 double roman end vinyl pool. I am putting in lights, where there were none. Pentair intellibrite color. I cannot decide on placement. The pool guy says 2 across from each other, i was thinking 2 on one side (the flat side facing away from grill/ seating area.

What would be the optimal placement and number of lights?

Definitely face away from house and seating area to avoid glare.

ok thanks. the pool is perpendicular to the house, the seating area is to the. so i should put the 2 light on the right side facing the left?

That's right.
You will get zero glare and maximum effect of the backscatter and reflection off the far side of pool.
With the intellibrites you will get the best of their light show that way.

Do you have a 2D pic you can attach? I assume when you say "on the right side facing the left"... that the right side wall is one of the 40' long walls. If so, you should be good. What color plaster are you going with? If it's a darker color you may want to consider 3 lights.
