You're done shocking when:
1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

When we carved pumpkins (back when the dinosaurs roamed,) there were patterns that one could put on the pumpkin to get some awesome results.

Is this one named "gizmo" from "Gremlins"?

Yes, Gizmo is the name; thanks Dora!

We use stencils from http://www.zombiepumpkins.com . You can get some stencils for free in various places, but you've generally gotta pay for the good ones.

Really cool. Haven't been able to carve pumpkins in 4 years (arthritis) so I just watch the kids hack away. Not nearly as fancy as this!!!

"But my lips really hurt."

I love that stupid movie! Those punkins are awesome!!! Somebody went and smashed most of the pumpkins in town. We didn't get one this year, but the neighbors all had a few and I woke up to streets filled with orange parts.
