Should I remove the solar cover when adding liquid chlorine to pool? If so, how long do I leave it off?

I would recommend removing it if you very concerned about it. It probably won't damage it enough to tell if your return is pointed downward. I usually leave mine on but I'm aware that it may be damaged and I choose to take that risk.

You have passed the OCLT when: 1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
