So the pipe you drill the holes in must be 1" or 3/4" , it must be 1"

Just looked at the pipes, they're 3/4".

Hi,
I saw this thread and thought I may not want to do the acid outlay to keep up with the pH. But my pool is running around 90!

How about this?

I build a couple of these gadgets and switch my pump running from day to night.

Any problem with not running the cleaning and filtering during the day?

Or maybe set a cooling pump cycle for so many hours at night.

Would be cheaper than a chiller and might work as well if done right.

No problems running at night. Actually running at night will work better for cooling, at least for me. I get 9-11* drop at night, I was only getting 5-6 during the day. Humidities were below 30%. Chillers are much more costly.
