    Bees

I hope this is in the right place. I have an above ground pool. It is around 14,000 gallons and is salt water. The PH, CYA and chlorine are all good. I have trouble with bees. I don't know what kind they are. My friend calls them sweat bees. They are about the size of a house fly or a little...

    Bees

These are very small and a dark color. When they get on you they will bite/sting pretty good. Some days I have to make a trip around the pool with a skimmer net in my hand every 15 minutes and will get 8 to 10. To give you an idea of the size they are 2 to 3 times bigger than a tic.

    Bees

Hello, I have an above ground pool. I am running a SWG on the pool. We have been getting a lot of little tiny bees in the pool. Does anybody else have this problem? Does anybody know if they could be attracted because of some kind of imbalance in the water?

    Bleach adds solids?

Welcome and listen to the people here. I wasted three weeks with pool stores and my green swamp stayed a green swamp. After four weeks here and listening to the people here I have a beautiful clear pool. Do not listen to the pool stores.

New Pool, first test, I'm confused?

If you have a SWG it should give you the salt content on the digital readout in the controller. Make sure the chlorine switch is turned to auto. I am running mine in a 13,000 gallon pool for two six hour periods each day set at 20% and am keeping an FC of 6. Hope this helps.

    Green swamp

Agent99 I grew up not to far from you in Hayward. We had a pool growing up but my Dad always took care of the chemicals, I would just brush the bottom and skim the top. It was 15 feet by 30 feet 28,000 gallons IG. There is a lot more to it than I realized.

    Green swamp

Great news. The pool was still a little cloudy and looked white. As I was vacuuming I could see it turn blue. The pool is 4 feet deep and I could barely see the vacuum head on the bottom in most of the pool. It was strange because there were spots in the pool that were like clouds where it...

    Green swamp

I guess after working with it for six weeks and it still isn't clear anybody would be a little impatient. I turned off the pump and let it settle overnight. I will let it settle until tomorrow and vacuum to waste. Here is a picture of what it looks like after settling overnight. Well no picture...

I thought the floc might help it settle faster. I will try what you suggested first. I hate to add anything to the pool that isn't needed

    Green swamp

I took a sample in a glass. After three hours I can see very small white clumps suspended all around with a small amount settled on the bottom. I took a picture but it won't let me upload it, says I exceeded my limit. I bought some Alum flock. I put a water sample in a baggie and mixed in a...

    Green swamp

The pool has looked like this for around a week. I have been adding the RK bleach using 8.5% in pool math and it is working out right. For example if it says to add 30oz to go from 22 to 24 it works out. When I run out I am going to try the Walmart bleach. Today I vacuumed again. Backflushed...

I have been buying my bleach at Rural King for a couple of weeks now. They have been charging me $12.79 for 12 gallons. This is the bleach from Rural King. Here are a few pictures of the pool. Let me know if it looks normal and has to run it's course or if I need to do something else.
