    Pool Plaster Problem

Do I need to repair the chipped area you think or can it wait til I have the pool plastered again in the fall. They offered to come out and repair it but I would have to drain it. I just refilled it after having it acid washed.

    Pool Plaster Problem

Thanks for the info. Seems like the plaster is really thin. Even for a skim coat. Also looks the bonding coat was non-existent or failed.

    Pool Plaster Problem

Located in NJ. The warranty just says a 5 year warranty. My fear is they try to repair the chipped part and it just continues in different areas until the warranty is beyond the 5 years. Its a midnight blue pool so I can't imagine it will match. By looks of it they didnt use or have a good bond...

No it doesnt look like it. Is that the industry standard to remove old? So far everything I have read says the plaster should be 3/8 to 5/8 inches thick.

    No Chlorine / Phosphates

OK...I picked up a test kit (the one from Leslies) and I'm having a hard time reading the results to get an accurate reading. The test kit gives you a range like 3-5 (example). So my question is if its in that range how do you know what number to use when you have to add and subtract numbers...

    No Chlorine / Phosphates

The discussion about removing phosphates has been moved to the Deep End. JasonLion OK...I think I'm going to start adding the liquid chlorine today. However I must say that the last few post and the dissenting opinions on whether to remove the phosphates total confused me. The two opinions...

Ok...My wife got the water tested again today and to my dismay has brought some more chemicals home that the pool store sold her so that we could swim. Apparently they think thta we should put approx. 12-16oz of Sodium Dichloro-s-triazinetrione in the pool approx half hour before we want to...

    No Chlorine / Phosphates

The pool store used a tube like you indicated and also used a machine for the other readings. Additionally, I do have the cartridge in the Nature 2. The insta shock that I'm refering to is Sodium dichloro s Triazinetrone and the previous test results were from a pool store are not from test strips. The strips I used after I added the insta shock to see if there was any chlorine reading. The lady at the store said to add the insta shock a...
