Yes. I just tried a water nozzle with a nylon string with a large knot on the end. Was able to ‘pump it down’ but it seems to be balling up somewhere. I pumped nearly 1.5 times the run length, as measure by the cable that was in there. I guess I can try the plastic bag with an air compressor...

Just had two nylon lines part midway through my pull through. 3 successful pulls then these two failed. I used a metal Klein fish tape and have stacked out both ways (top down and from the pool up). Not sure if to hire someone or try something else. I have not used pool lube. Thoughts?

What did you end up doing on grout? I’m also in frisco, coincidentally and have the same tile. Had some pop off. Used Grout magic to stick it back on, now I need to fill in the grout with a gray grout. I’ve seen some on Amazon but I wonder if we needed sanded grout.

Here’s a pic of the ‘adapter’. Just rubber fin sleeve to help hold it in the niche. I just replaced 2, 2 to go. Getting the old and new lights synced will be a challenge.

Seems like there are many folks on this thread that can help me answer my question. 4 of my 7 Globrites are out and just ordered the small face Sunseekers. The description on the website says it comes with the globrite adapter but looking at the lights they don’t appear to have the adapters on...

Not sure but I just ordered 4. I would think if electrical problems were the norm, we’d see many more complaints and failures than what we are seeing on here. I tend to think TFP members are on the forefront of ‘all things pool’. We KNOW that Pentair Globrites are a sheet product.

Are the light colors between SR compatible or will we have different color light tones? I have 6 Globrite of which 3 have failed. I didn’t want to do a full swap yet but buy them as they fail.

Anyone have luck here with the smaller form factor Florida Sunseeker ones?

Update: made it back after 8 days in Turks and my FC was 4. Ph was 7.8 and CYA was 55. Water level was right at skimmer line and my pentair system didn’t show the pump to be going down on low suction. All is good in the world. Thanks for your help!

Great advice. I would make sure to at least brush it in. Stagnant water (water level dropped due to heat) was the reason for my first algae attack.

Also I’ve hit it with the recommended bleach and last week and today hit it with a pound of shock in hopes of seeing CYA come up. Will brush the entire pool and add the recommended bleach as soon as this football game finishes.

So this is algae and not some sort of DE leak? I expected algae to be harder to scrape off, it just brushes off. Also how do you explain the CYA?
