That is something i might have to do. Every 2-3 hours, the flow would stop and i would have to reprime.

Right now the pump is working fine, there is suction in the skimmers, jets are working (some lower speed). The only current issue if have is that the jets would stop running after a few hours.

Some of the CYA i put on the socks near the jet dropped in the pool, do i need to replace them? I also have 2 sock fulls of CYA in the skimmer baskets.

Ok i backwashed, added the skimmer powder last night. Everything was going smoothly, checked this morning and noticed that the psi is 0 and there is no flow in the pump basket. Do i have to constantly reprime every few hours or something? FC was 12 last night. CYA was still 0 last night.

Im still having issues with the returns. They would stop working after a few hours and then i would have to turn off the pump and reprime. The psi is around 17-20 when the returns stop working.

How much bleach are we talking? Will i be checking the readings every hour or just pouring bleach every hour?

The thing i noticed is that when i opened the pump basket, i found 3 drain plugs but i only found 2 holes to plug. I'm not sure if theres an empty hole somewhere but all the hayward pumps i looked up online have only 2 holes to be plugged.

I have set it to filtration, and i don't notice anything different. There is no reaction from the pool, and everything is still the same.

When you say run normally, do you mean set it to filtration mode?

I was looking through my pool trunk and i found a large bag of skimmer powder, a bucket containing chlorine tablet, and a bucket that is labeled oxidizer. Are any of these needed? Also what is a good brand for the CYA that i should be getting?

I have 3 valves/pipes? They're labeled as Main Drain/ Shallow Skimmer/ Deep Skimmer. Which ones do i leave open/close when i am filtering/backwashing. Sorry if this is a dumb question, i'm still new to managing pools and slowly learning my way up. Thanks for any advice!
