    Sinking AG pool

Yes they sink too. Like the weight of the metal posts pushes them down.

    Sinking AG pool

The poles on one side of our metal frame pool is sinking into the ground. We have a soft yard after it rains and that is when we notice the sinking. We have attempted fixing it several times but the rain always causes sinking. Are we right in thinking the yard just won't support a pool? Is there...

    Intex pump isn't working

I have an Intex 1000gph filter pump. It used to work wonderfully. Lately it won't turn on. I can't get all the water out of the pump so it can turn on. When I turn the top valve I hear release but water never comes out of the top anymore. The water will come out of the outlet hose when I hold...

Vacuum for Intex pool 1.5" hoses

The vacuum we bought was sold individually. As was the pole and hose we bought. The hose came with a clear plastic piece to put on the pump in case the hose itself was too big to fit.

Anyone had a problem with bees, specifically yellow jackets hanging around the pool?

Southeast Arkansas here. We have no trees within 100 yards of our pool and I always see yellow jackets when I'm vacuuming. They fly through occasionally while we swim. There's a bayou closer to the pool than the trees are, so I'm just going to say hey prefer the clean water.

    Shopping for a test kit

Just trying to see the benefit/uses of the OTO. Like I didn't realize that was the same test for pH. It's a little confusing trying to find all the info I'm looking for online because I can't look at the kit in person.

    Shopping for a test kit

The whole test kit area is overwhelming to me, even after reading pool school 500 times. I thought OTO tested TC not FC. TC on its own isn't much help is it or do you accept that (for the daily testers) until you have cloudy water, chlorine smell, or something like that? Then you break out the...

    Shopping for a test kit

I'm looking at getting the tf100 kit, among others, but I'm not understanding why it comes with an OTO test and FAS/DPD if so many people say they don't use the OTO. Am I missing something?

    What contributes to pruney fingers?

I was meaning they may have more or less of some chemical. ETA because it happened so much faster at their pool

    What contributes to pruney fingers?

We went to a pool party yesterday and I noticed within twenty minutes my hands and feet were pruney. What's odd to me is that we can be in our pool over an hour before that happens. I hope thats a good thing.

    Build IG vs buy AG

We have soft ground in most of the yard. After a good rain, the frame to the pool sinks in a little and I don't think its going to be a long term thing.

    Build IG vs buy AG

We have a 4 yr old and 2 yr old. We live in south east Arkansas. So far with the ag pools a lot more friends and family have been coming to swim than we originally thought would. I have what I want in mind and if no one else ever came over we would still enjoy it ourselves. But we haven't...

    Build IG vs buy AG

Dh and I are discussing building a pool next year. What are the advantages of an IG pool over a huge (bigger than we have) AG pool? The fenced in areas are something we could do with either so all we can think of at the moment is a diving board. Also, best sites/apps to build the pool area the...

    Vacuum not running

So I got the hose filled with the return jet and that worked fabulously. I covered it with my hand and it made a gravity/manual vacuum. It works but slowly. The pump won't come on when I use it for the big pool, like there's air in it but the water is flowing through it from gravity. Any ideas?

    Vacuum not running

    Vacuum not running

We finally got a vacuum and hose to start cleaning the bottom of the pools. The problems is when I turn on the pump nothing happens. I've filled the hose with as much water as possible . The pump suck the water from the hose for few seconds then stops. Do I need to move the pump higher or what...

What order to put in chemicals?

We finally have the big pool almost full. We have about a foot left before we can start the pump. With the smaller pool, I'm sure I could've had a better order to putting in the chemicals. So which levels need tackled first? Does it matter on the state of the pool or is it the same every time...

    Reusable filter for Intex

The stores around me are putting all pool stuff on clearance and now are all out of filters. I'm looking at an Orca filter now. Any recommendations?

    Good small pool vacuum

Our pools are clear of tree . We live on a dirt road and that's really all that needs vacuumed from the pool unless we mow. I don't have a store nearby to look at vacuums in person. The only one any of the dollar stores around here carry is the hth water hose vacuum with a net. I don't think...

Hi everyone! I have two AG pools right now thanks to a friend giving us a bigger one. We'll be downsizing to just the big one in two weeks. We don't have any specific pool stores closer than 100 miles. We just have Walmart to work with. I look forward to learning even more from you guys.
