After a call in to Pentair service, I *think* the issue is the Thermal Regulator. Regardless, mine looks pretty corroded, so I am replacing. I hope this is the fix.

Also maybe a High Limit Switch failure?

It was 85 here today north of KC, and the kids had friends over. Of course, we just got the pool finished this weekend, so there is a lot of pent up demand. The weather will not last, as the 10 day looks terrible. We won't get much more use before closing it down and waiting for spring.

I do, but it's reasonably cheap. The water we lose through this will probably be less than $50 - $75. They fixed the return...took about three minutes. I held back a substantial portion of their last payment to make sure it gets fixed.

It's filling much faster than I expected. We are well over half way full, and we have only been going about 30 hours now. I think we will be close in the morning. Here is a pic from this morning: And, here are a few from around sunset:

This seems like a silly question. Are three hoses off the same house better than two? Seems like the flow has reduced significantly with the third hose. But I thought I read that adding lines will speed things up even off the same main line.

After I thought he was installing the liner tomorrow, the PB surprised me today. We are filling. Will post pics tomorrow. Too dark to get anything good now.

We plan to heat it up and enjoy as much as we can. Nights are getting down to 60 and even lower now. Days are still in the low 80s though. I am sure it will change quickly now.

Liner is delayed until at least Friday...and my week is ruined. Funny how a couple days of delay at this stage are worse than a couple weeks delay before we started.

Thanks for the nice comments. We are pretty excited. My wife and I even sat on our loungers today next to the empty pool for a few minutes just to try them out.

Pool deck and walkway are done. The plumbing is completely done, and the mechanical pad is installed. The pump/filter/heater are all set, and ready to go. The pool bottom is completely shaped (completed on Wednesday), but rain has moved in. So, pool-crete on Monday, Tuesday to cure, Wednesday...

They poured the second section of deck yesterday. One more concrete pour from the pool up to the house, and then FINALLY on to the pool crete.

That's what we are thinking. In fact, you can see the stack of unused stones in a few of my pics. They are basically where they won't have to be moved far to be installed in the next wall. It will be around 200 sq ft installed (that's how they bill on the walls). So, it will be a lot smaller...

I tried to upgrade the pump, but the parts were already on site. The pool builder wasn't having it. He has been a bit inflexible on stuff like that. I think his supplier is rigid on when products walk out the door. The PB has been flexible on everything else. I just wish he was here EVERY day...
