I was planning to leave pump running (it runs 24/7 on low). With that said, it sounds like I could put the puck in a floater and be good. Is one puck enough?

Headed out for a week's vacation so going to use a 3" trichlor puck to keep FC level up since I can't add bleach daily. Can I apply directly to skimmer basket or do I need to get a floater for it? Any advice?

Planning an oval AGP install soon (18x33). Going to put down a gorilla pad. Trying to decide between sand or foam for bottom. Planning to use foam cove base. So what is everyone's preference on sand vs foam for the bottom for those who have done installs?

Local pool place highly recommends pool crete for oval AGP installation. Any thoughts or experience? This will be our first pool so trying to learn what is really needed. I think the pool crete adds a significant amount of cost to the installation.
