Thanks all! Sounds like I need to do some more Slaming and brushing. This pool is so much more trouble to keep clear than my old pool that I wonder if it's worth the trouble or maybe I'm just getting old and it seems that way. I appreciate all the responses!

When I have that issue I find that a wire brush is ineffective at getting off the spots but I put a pressure wand on my hose and the water pressure does a great job of removing the spots.

Thank you! Guess I'll keep fighting the best I can. At some point I may add the extra valve or switch over to a sand filter but in the mean time I'll keep doing what I'm doing.

I'll give that a try I don't mind losing water if the algae goes with it.
