Hello, Ive recently plumbed in a heater and I keep losing prime on my pump. It'll run like normal but then after a while, it will struggle to fill up the watch glass and water won't flow. Ive tried sealing the o ring with pool grease and tightened the watch glass down. Still won't work. I...
When I'm on backwash and I try to go to filter, the lever feels too loose and doesn't fall back into its notch. Then when I turn the pump on, I'm still back washing, even though its on filter. What could be the issue?
How do I go about proving did it incorrectly? He's not MIA, its just not likely he's gonna fix this. What do I do? Text him and tell him people on the internet told me you did it wrong and then he'll say youre crazy and I'll never hear from him again
Idk if there is any warranty anyway since this was added on well after (10 years) we had the pool installed. It was a separate purchase. I live in upstate NY. Are there any reputable pool builders who can do this right. I don't have the energy to chase down these idiots anyway, they'll...
Ill post pics soon when it stops raining. But this is a pool builder problem, right? He installed the wrong pipe, might not know its the wrong pipe, and I just look like an angry customer making more work for him. You know how this goes. I'm really not sure how to resolve this, other than...
Hello,
I have a leak and its coming out from a flexible PVC pipe fitting that's attached to my heater. From what I can tell, there's no cracks in the pipe itself, and it might be because there wasn't enough glue applied. This new plumbing was installed late last season and wasnt used that...
So my pool builder installed a heater and since the hvac guys hadn't laid the pipe in for the gas line yet, they didn't start it up. However, when the gas guys finished they said they couldn't start it up since they'd never done it before. Everything is ready. Is there anything I need to know...
Waiting sounds ok, but first of all, its leaking out of the other ports as well, and sure, I could futz around with it to fix it, and secondly, If that plug blows, that's gonna be a bullet. If somethings in its path, that's gonna be deadly
Yes, putting a plug in the backwash port. Is it worth opening the housing to see whats worn or should I just replace it? I did some searching and I cant find this exact part online. I mean, I'm ready to drop 600 on a new filter since this is the latest in a slew of pool issues that kept us...
I have an sd80. I just replaced the sand and put everything back together. I have it set on filter and there's water gushing out my backwash line. The toggle lever feels lose (I've been using it for 12 years, I should know). And it feels gritty switching between the different valves. When I...
Yeah, I didn't think that one through. I thought for backwashing I'd need a closed system, but I don't. Backwash just bypasses the filter. So, by that logic, could I attach my exhaust hose directly to the pump and run it?
I wanted to redo our concrete slab for my pool equipment. I'm hiring it out and they hit some unexpected delays and they cant for a while. Therefore, I cant run my pool like I used to. Meanwhile, I took this opportunity to replace my sand in my sand filter. I cleaned it all out and figured...
Yeah, I know. The gas company said that it'll likely be the case since the heater alone will be 350k btu, but they said to call back with exact btus of all the gas using appliances in my house. Ive had 2 hvac guys at my house and they were unsure. Idk where they got their licenses from
