I just had my pool sand changed to ruby sand. After the pool tech changed the sand my pool doesn’t seem to be pulling debris on the surface to the skimmer. I am also having to backwash every 3-4 days due to pressure rising. Any ideas on troubleshooting? Thank you intelliflo 40K gallons/pebble tech

Thank you. I am maintaining Slam - checking 3 times a day and adjusting. I was out of town so the pool got out of hand while I was gone. It’s been awhile so I forgot how difficult/long it takes to clear my pool.

My pump worked perfectly before I back washed. I did not turn any valves on or off so I don't think that could be the issue. The only valve I touched was the dial to turn to backwash. Thank you

Ok will vacuum to recirculate. Thought that I could clear it sooner by going to waste. Where do you buy 12% bleach? I can't find it anywhere. I guess I could put triclo in skimmer basket too.. I will try to keep using bleach bit super hard to keep up shock level.

The Tritan 2 is a Pentair sand filter. I have added DE to help too.

Bleach from Walmart or Costco is 8.25 %. Cal hypo was a better value. 50 pads for $100 bucks. Maybe should get cya up. Slam levels are lower but don't hold. CYA is 20-30. Hard to tell, also due to heat and vacuuming I am replacing water often too. Thanks!
