    Platform for kids??

Glad this worked out for several members. i wanted to add that I got lazy and didn't take it out for weekly cleaning, but we never had a problem with algae on the platform. I moved it often and our pool got daily use. As Pauls did, my platform stayed outside for the winter and held up perfectly.

    New build in Concord, NC

Hi Sara! I was silently following your build progress, and I'm wondering how things turned out for you. Did you post final pics somewhere? I hope it all turned out well and you were able to get some swim time before the end of the season!

    Water feature (commercial building)

 Hello and welcome to TFP. Sorry, I don't know anything about pumps, but I'm sure someone else will be along shortly to help you. In the meantime, I do know that everyone here loves pics, so perhaps you could post a pic of the water feature and that may help draw attention to your post...

    Warmer water wanted!

Pabeader- unfortunately, I don't have a storage room full of old coolers to tear apart, otherwise I might try it! I have thick bamboo reed fencing around the outside of my pool to hide the gray blob, so nobody will see what I stuff under there anyway! Ike, since you are an official on this...

    New Pool Owner...Kind of Clueless!

Welcome to TFP! Congrats on the new house and pool. There are plenty of nice people here willing to share their knowledge with you, so just post up some questions.

    Warmer water wanted!

Pabeader, oh sorry, my little pool is about 4,000 gal. After reading more threads, it seems like the spa heater would be a no go. I also discovered people on here have had some pretty creative ideas.... that didn't work. Love that this forum is so supportive and nice- I didn't even read a post...

    Warmer water wanted!

Ike, I likely won't be looking at actual pool heaters for my little Intex! If I can get solar panels cheap off of eBay or craigslist, that might be a option, now that I know my pump will likely work with it. I'm from the part of Cajun country where people love, eat, and make Tabasco. Sparkle...

    Warmer water wanted!

Thanks Bing. I've thought about saving all the bubble wrap we get from Amazon shipments and sticking it to the outside of the pool! Any other ideas would be welcome.

Wow, your yard looks like a great kids place already and will be so much more fun with a pool! Your son with Autism will likely be swimming before the end of the first pool season since it will be "his" pool. With all you have going on, I would definitely make sure I could see the entire pool...

    Warmer water wanted!

Hi All. I don't want to give up our fun family time in the water just yet. How can I keep my pool open for longer? Seems like solar is the way to go, but we don't have a south facing roof or place in yard to do a stand (I think). We have a west facing roof right next to the pool and it is...

Have you seen these loungers? Wendy, who just finished her pool a month or so ago, had posted about them. They are completely plastic. At least 2 members have these on their sun shelf. I got mine from Amazon for $100. Can't remember the name right now, but could look it up if you are interested.

Yea, what Marla said. My first though was, coming from the deck of the house your eye would catch the back of the lounge chairs on the sun shelf instead of the open pool. I don't know much about pools, but in reading on here, dreaming of my future in ground pool, several people have mentioned...

1994 Hotsprings Highlife model K, worth a try?

Ike, wow, thanks for all the info! It is the limited edition, and I wasn't sure how that was different from the others. My mom's tub has the moto massage and I liked it on the lowest setting. I don't like hard jets, so having 50 jets is not important to me. I mostly like floating around in the...

Isaac you were right, more options popping up each day. Know anything about a 2002 Hotsprings Sovereign? Looks to be in excellent condition, with 4 year old cover. They say everything works and it's never been repaired.

Out of curiosity, I read some of your other threads to see if you posted about maintaining your old tub. One click lead to another, and I read about the mule in the pool!
