    Recommended heater

I have a Raypak 406 and the energy guide said it is inefficient. However, after hearing everyone say that most heaters cost about $5-6 per hour to run, I did my own test. Just last night, I measured my meter with my heater running and found that I burn 360cfh or 6cfm. My gas company charges $.60...

    pool heater after plaster

I ran mine a week after plaster.... I am the pool guy though :). I did ask the plaster guy and he said go for it. I am not telling you to do it but I had no issues at all. I would do what the pool guy says so you stay in warranty.

    Leak Found! Now what?

3M 5200 marine sealant. Seals underwater. Worth a shot before major construction. Beware...that stuff is no joke. Once hard, it will not come off without major work.

    Raypak Pool Heater

Do you have the right size gas meter? Is the top of it hot? You should hear it running and you can stand by your meter...you should hear that thing humming too. Mine is a 406,000 Raypak and I can hear it kick on but its not loud...just noticeable.

Pool Spa draining too much water . need help

You need a check valve on the spa return/jets. You probably do not need one on main drain if you have pool/spa mode. I assume in pool mode you suck from pool m/d only.

Pool Spa draining too much water . need help

It looks from the first pic that your spa is draining to the highest level of your pool when pump is off... Is that the case? If so, you probably only need a check valve

New pool build in Louisiana - design and build

Good to see someone else building in Louisiana. As far as your questions I can tell you marcite is much smoother than pebbletech etc and it is also cheaper however it won't last as long. For me smoothness trumped and I went with marcite. I also have lots of trees...(oaks) near my pool and my...

Small pool and hot tub in SE Louisiana

Hello all, I have been reading a bunch of threads on here for a few months. I wanted to finally contribute. I decide to start building a pool around January this year and after talking to some local builders, I realized I would be more suited to try it on my own. I researched a tremendous amount...
