I thought that when you slam your FC is supposed to be high to eliminate your algae…but it never went clear!! We were supposed to get a new liner so we didn’t treat the pool at closing, but with all of the delays we never got a new liner!

Agreed!! I did the FC test twice! That’s why I’m so confused on what to do! I have muriatic acid but I’m so worried about using it. In pool math it says to put in 1 gallon & 3 cups!🤷🏻‍♀️

Confused…pool was good for 3 days after slam. Now, cloudy again FC 40 PH 7.4 CC 1 CYA 20 CH 20 TA 300 None of these numbers make sense!! Any insight 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

We are just now opening our pool! We were supposed to get a new liner this year but we’re unable to get one in time and they are still on back order. Because of getting a new liner we drained our pool before the winter and I feel like we are starting from scratch with a completely green pool...

I always shut off the pump and close all of the drains.

So get rid of the chlorinator all together? We just bought a Hayward 336btu heater and we were going to upgrade all the pipes around the pump, so do I not incorporate the chlorinator?

I will say that that chlorinator lid is Extremely difficult to remove!!!!

So what would you suggest I use?

Cannot get pH to rise!?! I have added baking soda & borax...nothing!!! I use a Taylor test kit & my pH color is below 7.0 so I don’t know exact number. Alkalinity test states after I add 2 drops of R-0007 & 5 drops of R-0008 sample should turn green but mine stays red!! I’m not sure what to do...

That is the top view of my filters? owners manual says to dip them in muriatic acid...I did hose them off but the white slime is on the inside!!! Should I run it & add bleach to the pool??
