Aquarite Not generating - lights not on

Excellent documentations and easy to follow! Also, thanks to all the others. Same symptoms as many others but mine showed no outwards signs (not browning, did not crumble). Made the replacement and all is well!!

Aqua Rite - should current limiter get VERY hot

Kinda funny, same thing happened to me. I'd read the threads on here about how easy a fix it was, so I got the part and replaced the current limiter on my old 2004 board and same issue so I had to order an new one Monday. At least I'll have taking the board off and on down pat...lol

That's probably a good idea, but not something I can do easily.

    Can't get T-15 Cell Loose...

Thanks. After getting one end loose, I was able to use large channel locks and get it loose. I made sure it was hand tightened this time...lol

    Blocked/Clogged vacuum pipe?

I am getting very little suction when I hook my Pool Cleaner up to the vacuum line. I checked at the pool pump end and no clogs in the valves or pipes. I hooked the Pool Cleaner up to the skimmer line and it worked fine, excellent suction. What's the best way to unclog the vacuum line as...

    Can't get T-15 Cell Loose...

I went to remove my T-15 cell for its periodic cleaning/descaling and I cannot get one end loose. I even got some large channel locks to try and get it loose, no luck. Any ideas on how to get this loose short of cutting the section off and re-plumbing?

Why does Aqua Rite cell type reset?

SO I was going nuts trying to figure out why my cell all of the sudden was showing as "Hi". Cleaned cell (wasn't needed) reset the board etc... Then after a search on here it said to check the cell typed displayed. I have a T-15 and it was shown as a Type 3 on the display. Very quick...

    SWG Cell Life

Being in South Florida the pool is open 365 days a year. I know the average life span of an Aqua Rite cell is a bout 5 years, but is that based on the pool open all year or the pool open 5 or 6 months a year?

Aqua Rite and Variable Speed Pump Issue?

Well, that's exactly what it was. Rewired so that the Aqua Rite is in line with the pump and now only is on when the pump is on.....

Aqua Rite and Variable Speed Pump Issue?

Installer is coming by tomorrow to look at it. Did not get to speak to him, just the lady who sets the appointments. I am looking forward to his explanation....

Aqua Rite and Variable Speed Pump Issue?

Yes I just cleaned the cell a few weeks ago. I think I found the problem... Old set up, pump and Aqua Rite both run by timer with presets. When they installed the pentair variable pump, it has it's own timer and the installer simply removed the pins and the timer is "on" all the time. Well...

Aqua Rite and Variable Speed Pump Issue?

A little additional information. 7 am 3200 instant salinity, 3200 salt reading 11 am no change 2 pm 0 instant salinity, 2600 salt reading.....so between 11 am and 2 pm it went haywire. reset and it went right back to 3200 instant salinity.... In the meantime I turned the unit off and then...

Aqua Rite and Variable Speed Pump Issue?

Do not know if this is a coincidence or if there is something going on. I have replaced the Board and cell within the last year or so. Earlier this year, put in my new variable speed pump. My problem is that the Aqua Rite will read 3200 salt level. It will be fine then after a few days it...

Variable Speed Pump impact on SWG...

Just installed a new Pentair Intelliflo VF and I have a question. My old 2 HP single speed pump ran 8 hours a day. The new variable speed will be running 12 to 14 hours a day. Am I correct in that I will now be generating 50% more chlorine that previously?

    Normal Chlorine loss question

I may be wrong, but if your CYA is really 60, then you need to get your FC up to 24 to shock the pool. Taking it only up to 17 is just throwing money away...

Just switched to SWG. PH is high and won't come down

My fill water is over the top with a TA of over 350.... I've almost made this a weekly routine. Factor in I have a SWG and when we have a dry spell I have to add TA >350 fill water for evaporation compensations, my TA goes up quickly.

Just switched to SWG. PH is high and won't come down

SWG tend to raise pH. I am guessing your pH is coming down, but was so high it was off the charts to begin with. Has your TA been going down?

    Fill Water

We are on a well and the good news is the water softener is doing a fantastic job of taking the Calcium out of the water. The bad news is that the TA of the fill water is over 400. I wondered why my pH was staying at 7.5/7.6 but in the last couple weeks my TA has gone from 80 to 140 and I got...

    Temperature effect on Chlorine usage

I had the same issues recently. I bumped up my CYA (I have a SWG) and that did the trick for me....

Weird...... Spa attached to pool issue....

Thanks for the input all... I'll look at the circulation when I get home. (Richard it's very similar to yours and I occasionally change only if i need to aerate) I think I have a new chore for my 13 year old this summer....LOL Update: I isolated and shocked the spa after brushing yesterday...

Weird...... Spa attached to pool issue....

Here are my numbers: FC = 7 CC = 0 TC = 7 pH = 7.6 CH = 310 TA = 90 CYA = 80 Salt = 3200 My pool has a built-in spa that is attached to the pool and the water flows from it into the pool and there are also 4 returns in the pool itself. All the returns are on and water is flowing everywhere it...

Feeling stupid! Need help w/Taylor K2006 Chlorine test

You are going to have to drain part of the pool to get the salt level down...I think the Aqua-Rite stops generating at 4500..... I would go with dead cell at this point based on my prior personal experience....at least check it first....If that's not the culprit, it will then be the board....

Got my TF100. Ready to kill pool store tester.

I think a lot of us feel that way about our local pool supply store. I am sure there are good ones, but geez..... I had my pool for 4 years before I had a SWG and found this place. Looking back, I am depressed at all the chemicals I needlessly bought over those four years...

Feeling stupid! Need help w/Taylor K2006 Chlorine test

I cannot emphasize enough the need to have your salt level tested. When it is that low, it is not a good idea to rely solely on the readout. Last year my Aqua-Rite gave me a low salt reading so I added what was required to bring it up to 3200....Guess what, bad cell/bad board and my real salt...

    SWG T-15 not working

Sounds like mine and it was the board. Seems the most common is the frying of the board electornics. I think there may even be a couple threads on here about this... http://idoneitmyself.wordpress.com/2009 ... lightning/

    FC loss is stumpimg me...

CYA on its way up to 75 now according the the Pool Calculator after I added the stabilizer. I delayed raising the CYA until I confirmed no overnight loss to cut back on the chlorine needed in case I had to shock it. I'll keep an eye on it as the CYA rises and see if my daily FC loss goes down

    FC loss is stumpimg me...

Ok, it's been really hot and humid here... 95 to 100 degrees and high heat index the past week. My pool is not screened and gets about 10 hours of full sun a day right now. My pool temp was 90 yesterday afternoon, like bathwater..... I have seen a loss of 7 in my FC during the day (i turned...
