    Water fall won't turn off

Hello! We have a Pentair Easy Touch control box with a remote control. We also have a bubbler/water feature that we can turn on and off by either using our remote or by pushing the "aux 2" button on our control panel. This Morning I turned on the fountain so that I could add my chemicals (the...

Where should I pour my CH and MA? My return jet is very weak.

Would you also dilute the chlorine?

Where should I pour my CH and MA? My return jet is very weak.

If I can get the jet turned on somehow, would you recommend that as the best option even though it is over the shallow step?

Where should I pour my CH and MA? My return jet is very weak.

Yes, we have cleaned it. We have cleaned it twice this year, with the latest time just about 3 weeks ago. The in floor cleaning produce pretty good "jets".

Where should I pour my CH and MA? My return jet is very weak.

Hello! I have just recently adopted the TFP method this past month. Thank you for the help! All the forums say you should pour your chemicals in front of a return jet in order to mix them all in. I only have one, and it is in the shallow end next to the skimmer over the lagoon step (18...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

My only pool return is in the shallow end, right on the lagoon step, right next to the skimmer basket. I know it says to slowly pour the acid in front of the return, but maybe I should do it in the deep end?

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Okay, so I think I've got my levels evened out from my year of relying on the wrong testing. Aside from my high CYA, which I plan to bring down this summer. CYA 90 FC 7 PH 7.4 TA 120 CH 150 My question is, do I need to raise my calcium or should I just leave it?

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Oh wow! That's good to know. I will have to check around TFP to see if there is a good tutorial. Would you say most TFP users have a salt system? Am I in the minority?

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

I just called my pool builder to find out how much it will cost to change our pool from chlorine to salt. He said about 1400, plus tax. That sounds about right to me! I am so happy I found this forum. I have been able to balance my water and understand my pool chemistry so much better. I am...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Man! Makes me nervous to go out of town at all! lol Yep, I'll have to hire someone to come by. - - - Updated - - - Is a SWG just better overall? Seems like it would make a lot of these issues non existent.

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

You guys are the best. Thank you! If I can get my CYA to drop by about 20 this summer I would be ecstatic! I don't really know what to do this summer when we leave town. I'm not going to be putting any pucks in the pool. Should I super chlorinate before I leave? My question is why hasn't...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

With splash out and rainfall (we don't get much in Tucson!...maybe a few inches this summer), how long would it take for my CYA levels to fall naturally? Also, will that much chlorine be really irritating to the eyes and skin? Or does it get "cancelled" out due to the CYA? If we have to...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

I don't think we will drain the pool again. We don't get a lot of rainfall in Tucson. We will get a few inches in July when the monsoons come. Not sure how long it will take to lower the CYA, but I don't plan to use tablets ever again. I will chlorinate as needed with bleach. Should I just...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Okay, I just tested the TA two more times because that didn't seem right. Don't know what I did wrong but it is 150. - - - Updated - - - Hello there Tim! Thanks for the reply. I think my CH is low because we just emptied out so much water? Do you think over time that will rise, or do I...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Hello again! My Taylor K 2006 came today. Hooray! I am SHOCKED at how incorrect the pool store and the test strips are. I am actually mad about the store. They are so off! Anyway, here are my new results. CYA: 90 FC: 14 PH: 8.0 TA: 20 CH: 180 The dimensions of my pool are 6 foot deep...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Thank you for the replies! I added all my pool information to my signature -- sorry I missed doing that before! The test I have been using for all my pool chemical results is the AquaChek test strips. I see now that I need to order a better kit, which I will do. Pool School has been so...

My CYA is still 100 after draining almots 40% of my water

Hello there! So glad to be a member of this amazing forum! Our pool is less than a year old. It is a chlorine pool that holds 17,000 gallons. We have had a very easy time maintaining the chemistry of the water these past 10 months. Unfortunately, I accidentally forgot to add chlorine a...
