    Hi Kellie.. so I've added the chlorine to target FC - 24. I'll take another measure in 30 mins to make sure I've reached the target for the overnight test. Also brushed the sides and bottom. Should I add DE? Help catch any reside algae in the filter, or let the sand do its job. Thanks so...

    Ok. So slam tonight target is FC -24. Is algae cloudy? I always thought it was large brown residual on the bottom when dead. I'm not sure what this is.... Tried an old trick from mknauss with the paper towel in the skimmer.. thinking it was pollen.. no cigar. Was very green.

    Hi folks, Really confuywhy the pool has turned cloudy..and overnight spike of PH(SLAM maybe?) Last Weekend, 6/1 & 6/2.. levels were to the dot and brilliantly crystal clear. Monday and Tuesday, 6/3 & 6/3, pool turns ever so slightly cloudy. Lots of rain and falling pollen. Wednesday, pool...

    Thanks for the response. FC spiked...I put in an extra bottle of chlorine by mistake. I'll look up the filter links now...it's been clearing up..very, very slowly. I do have DE on hand and no, I've never performed any other filter function other than backwash. Some studying to do. Thanks...

    First test of the year - SLAM was successful

    Hiya, So another wonderful Pool Season begins! Been SLAMMING all week. Finally had success on Thursday night thru Friday morning. That said, Pool is still ever so slightly cloudy...? Any thoughts there folks? (See photos attached) Here are my results - I'd like to add salt tonight/tomorrow...

    OCLT test has been good overnight. Phew! Shall i continue to leave the SWG off while the FC levels drop to a satisfactory level?...not long left now in the pool season anyhow up here in NE. I may just keep the chlorine levels as is and close the pool shortly.

    Hi all, Just got home and checked the levels...TC is now 24.5 as opposed to 31 this morning. Pool is Crystal Clear, though I did notice some brown spots/gathering of what appears to be dead algae...see photos Should I continue with the SLAM process? Appreciate your input

    Morning folks, So the water is absolutely sparkling!! I'm going to perform a Backwash as the pump/filter is 'working hard.' Afterwards, I'll give it a good brushing and have the robot do its job. Would it be a good time to then record CC levels?

    Feel the need to emphasize that my pool did not turn green, but brown streaks. See the pictures in my original post. Also, it's a small AG pool. We have one skimmer and one return.
