    Thank you everyone. I have cleaned the cartridges three times over the past couple of days. There is no more hth gunk on the bottom of the pool. I'm now going to follow the what I leaned from the pool school link. Thanks again.

    I messed up prior to checking responses. I just turned my filter on and it kicked to stuff up all over the pool. It's now cloudy water. I guess I'll just wait to see if the hth stuff will settle at the bottom again, and then try to siphon it out.

    I used HTH From Green to Blue two days ago. After using it, I noticed a label on the package that stated not use it with a cartridge filter. I have a cartridge filter. I now have clear water with the algae sitting at the bottom of the pool. What should I do?
