Progress: The guys came back on Friday and did great work on all the fixes. The water spout seemed to be an easy fix. I wasn't here but it was done by the time my husband came home for lunch. And there was no damage to the slate. He didn't comment on whether it was his fault or the company...

Kim - maybe. I tried to take pictures inside the wrong one and one of the right ones. Wrong - welding on left. Opening for water on right. Right - welding on top. Opening on the bottom. The opening is less noticeable in the correct one because there is a small amount of water pooling...

The later. The channel spout has a water flow panel inside that is welded shut on 3/4 of the spout and then only open on the bottom. It controls the flow of water so it flows smoothly. To truly fix the spout would have to be rotated. Hopefully it is an easier fix then I'm imagining... But I...

It's full! Last night around 8pm (28 hours of filling... that's gonna hurt) it reached waterline. Which for us is about a half inch below the finished spa. There is a lot of floating debris. I was netting some this am. Never noticed how much our neighbors oak tree dropped junk into our yard...

Just caught up on your build. I'm the one who had cracks in Pasadena. All involved parties assured us they were not a problem (and our shotcrete guy signed a lifetime guarantee that he would repair/ be responsible for any damage to shell or plaster from the cracks) so we've moved forward to...

Still filling but too dark for pictures. Husband and I have set alternating alarms for midnight, 2am, 4am and 6am to check on the water level and make sure all is going smoothly. New pictures at first light, promise!
