    Dolphin cleaner unresponsive

That seems to be a part number for a 5 pack. I found 9995807-ASSY for the single QTY. And 9991279 for the connector. I have the crimpers to do the open barrel crimps, so it would be about $55. I might just wait to see if anything else goes wrong before replacing it as all it currently well with...

    Dolphin cleaner unresponsive

I figured out the problem was the swivel so I took it apart. One of the spring loaded pins wasn't returning as high as it should. After messing with it there was no improvement, so I cut a U shaped washer out of aluminum to slip over the other end and space the contacts closer together. Back in...

    Dolphin cleaner unresponsive

It's not doing anything. At all. The power supply appears to function as normal (assuming the output is good) but the robot is motionless. No noise or movement. As far as the warranty, I bought it about 3 years ago. I bought it off amazon which I believe means they will not honor a warranty.

    Dolphin cleaner unresponsive

My cleaner worked fine one day and not a few days later. I tested the power supply with a multi meter and it appeared to be reading about 28 volts. So there is power of some sort getting through but I believe this does not guarantee that the power supply is good. How can I do some...

Anyone know what size bearings the Hayward SP2302VSP pump uses?

Wooo, it was the shaft seal. The I thought the impeller would be pressed on, but it turns out it is screwed on even though there are no fittings to hold the impeller or shaft. That took a while to figure out.

Anyone know what size bearings the Hayward SP2302VSP pump uses?

Something else, I just noticed if I bump the pump up to max speed, then back down to the 1900rpm that it runs at all day, the noise will be gone (for the time being). I'm going to order a shaft seal and try that.

Anyone know what size bearings the Hayward SP2302VSP pump uses?

I have a hayward pump that's a little over a year old. After being on for a few hours it will make a really high pitched whine. Is it possible it's the shaft seal or is it bearing for sure? Does anyone know what size bearings it uses so I can find something without taking it apart? Only the...

No Chlorine loss at night, HIGH loss during the day. CYA good

I had it tested a few times by different people at the pool store, same with the alkalinity. Strips AND reagents. Unless the shocking or asorbic acid could have brought it down, I did have it tested after that though as well. I know that my chlorine testing is good because when testing after...

No Chlorine loss at night, HIGH loss during the day. CYA good

I was at 5ppm last night, 5ppm when I checked it this morning. Now a few hours later it had dropped to 2. CYA is 45 I completed a slam several days ago because of overnight chlorine loss (no sign of algae and water looked great though). My water temp was very high, about 94, and the slam took I...

    What's your current pool temp?

Got up to 96 a week or two ago, wanted to have it that high because of how awesome it is at night. Once summer is in full swing going to have to keep it lower.

    Finally got one coming

Yeah I got it. Haven't gotten much of a chance to see how it works though as its been rainly and the cover is on the pool. From a quick glance under the cover it looks like it works well though. One thing I noticed is it seems to spend most of it's time on the walls. I have a concrete pool lined...

    What's your current pool temp?

Doesn't hurt to put them on "early", the lows here have been less than 50 with the highs in the low 70's. Even with some cloudy days here and there my pool is 84.

Help with Sheer Descent Plumbing - 2nd Pump

If you put a one way valve on each pump, you could have two on the same line. Then have the filter pump run at a different time than the sheer pump. Or just use one pump with a valve and have them running off the filter pump, but I think theres a chance that wouldn't flow enough water.

    New Pool in Central CA

Even electrical? Anyways since you can do all that other stuff I think you could do the waterfall too. There are some good tutorials on youtube and you could make a huge multi tiered one with all that extra dirt.

After I posted that I saw in a review that someone didn't have trouble with the warranty after buying from amazon, I want it asap so I was willing to pay the extra six bucks for Tuesday delivery. But then I got to check out and realized I was going to have to pay over $50 in tax! So I ended up...

What if heater BTU exceeds gas line capacity?

Most of those charts are for 0.5in water column pressure drop, where as most appliances can run down to 4.5-5 in water column. Which would be 2-2.5 pressure drop for standard 1/4psi gas lines

    Buried Pool Cooler / Warmer

Well they use pex for radiant heating so you could use that, but I believe the ground temperature is much colder than that so heating would not be so effective. You can just use a fountain for cooling Amazon.com : Splash Pools 30700 Waterfall Pool Fountain : Swimming Pool Pump Accessories ...

Had a mustard algae problem....looks like it's in the cover

I've had an on and off mustard algae problem for a month. I didn't shock for a long enough period I think, but another problem I noticed is some of the bubbles in my cover are popped, and they are filled with yellow water. It's just a few here and there, looks like the holes got there from...
