the pressure gauge on my Hayward de filter is reading zero but water is being pumped so that be zero. Would that mean that my gauge is broken or does the port get plugged sometimes?

Might have a hose bib in the barn. I guess it would be easy to give it a try. I already have the leaf gulper. My dad had an extra.

i have hard piped my intex pool and Hayward 1hp DE ec-40. I was wondering if it would be possible to add a hose bid and have enough pressure to run a leaf gulper? I vacuum but the leaf gulper is faster for big leafs and things and it would be nice to use w/o adding extra water.

Water is perfectly clear. Will be adding muriatic, bleach and cya this evening. I have been trying to sneak up on my levels so i do not over shoot. But as soon as the levels were about right I would leave for a week and when i get home FC is 0 but the water is still clear. Nothing planned...

I think it would be easier to build a shallow end. I have seen several platforms but I can't find them now. My kid too fast and I deleted the bookmarks. But a platform for the little kids that is removable might be easier than trying to adjust the skimmer height.

Added some final pix. Haven't figured out what to with the fountain. Right now I am changing it up often for the kid with dry fitting left over parts from my sprinkler install. The threads on the Hayward skimmer is 1 1/2 fnpt. I bought a 1 1/2 npt x 1 1/2 slip adaptor and ran 1 1/2 pipe. Looks like you have a 1 1/2 npt x 1 1/4 reducing adaptor.

Bought used. Receipt shows this is its 2nd or 3rd year. All light show good and I have bubbles when on. Going to do all the water testing today and post results in a new thread to see if we can figure it out

I am in the process of piping my intex pool. I am going to add a spray bar. After pondering it for awhile, why not just use a sprinkler or two? Seems you would have plenty of options and control. Drilling holes in a pipe would be cheaper but just marginally.

Thanks. I was just thinking if power went out, or some unseen event, they would still be in sync. I will just use the SWG timer and reset it as needed. I guess if the SWG turns on w/ the pump on the low flow sensor would just turn it off. No harm no foul. I know the timers are not too much...

Duh, I thought the bleach was 6% but clorox is 8.25%. Over shot a bit (poolmath effect: raise by 6.2) but w/o cya it should burn off. I will add the CYA when the FC is back down between 1-3. Oh boy this is fun.

Thanks. If i am using the poolmath correctly I need 52oz of 6% bleach. (first box is what my pool currently is at 0 and the next box is my target, 5). Do you mean normal bleach? Clorox? And 34 oz by weight of CYA.
