Let me clean it again today and I will report back a little later. Last time I cleaned it was about a month ago. I'm sure it's due for a cleaning b/c the pool has had pollen and leaves in it. I guess that is something I need to do more often.

I have a crack in the steps that is about 4-5" wide. I ordered some florescent dye to try to find where it was leaking and that's the only area I can find. As soon as I put it near that crack it gets sucked in right away. The pool is vinyl, but the steps are fiberglass (I'm assuming)...

The repair people came today and replaced the drive (motor?). The pump is up and working again. Nothing else was wrong but that. It's frustrating that I pretty much had problems from the beginning with this pump and two weeks later it pretty much failed on me, but I will applaud Hayward...
