    Intelliflo pump stopped working..

Will do thanks. I think I see the problem, lol.. water definitely worked its way in. Gonna let it air out and see if it helps out but I'm sure something shorted.

    Intelliflo pump stopped working..

Good point.. I guess I don't have anything to lose by taking keypad off and seeing if I can see anything obvious. I'll do that and take a look, if you happen to know of repair threads would appreciate links, I'll also poke around for them. Thanks, Jason

    Intelliflo pump stopped working..

Hi Jim - thanks for your help. I checked with multimeter and L1-L2 is 247VAC so seems like it's getting power. I guess there's no fuse on the thing so can't be something that simple. Would I be better off calling someone for a repair (control head maybe?) or is there any self-diagnosis I can...

    Intelliflo pump stopped working..

My pump seems to be dead. No lights or power of any sort showing up on pump, but my SWG seems to be getting power and panel seems OK. I do see moisture in the display, not sure if water damage or what. What would be basic troubleshooting steps (I think it's 7.5 years old)..

    IntelliPH injector...

OK, so it works fine even though there's no tube extending into the water stream? Thanks!

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

Very cool stuff.. Anybody ever play with a solenoid, maybe like this along with just a gravity feed, e.g. put a big old jug or barrel a few feet higher than the pool, some distance away.

    IntelliPH injector...

Hi, I ordered a new 521510 acid injector valve for my IntelliPH recently and I got a part number that searching, is actually 522513Z though the box actually does say 521510. But I do see the 522513Z used interchangeably as the "acid injector check valve". My concern is there is no tubing, on...

Cleaning cell when you have an acid injector...

I have a theory that since I have an Intellichlor that injects acid and it's before the salt cell, I probably don't need to give my IC40 a cleaning/acid bath. Is this reasonable or should I pull it out and clean it? Seems like it's pretty much always getting a pretty good acid bath, even with...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Re: Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club I was waiting for these to go on sale but then noticed you can get the Nautilus Pro (with "CleverClean") for $659 or maybe even a bit less if you look around, so I ordered one of those. Pretty much same cleaner, right? In fact seems...

    Slight whistle from Pentair IntellFlo

No, actually I didn't. I think I will start doing that now that you mention it. But the whistling seems to not be caused by that and seems to come more from the back of the pump.

    Slight whistle from Pentair IntellFlo

Hi - so earlier this year I got the IntelliFlo VS installed and it worked perfectly, quiet, etc... But about 3 weeks ago I've noticed a 'whistling' noise coming from it. Nothing too loud, just kind of a consistent whistle especially audible when it's on a low or medium speed. At high speed the...

    IntelliPH issues...

I posted this question over on the Pumping Station, but I guess it actually belongs here. Mods, feel free to delete the other thread. So my IntelliPH has been working great but recently (it seems to have happened after I had some backpressure issues which I think I have fixed) the feed tube...

    Return angles

To me, intuitively, it looks like if you go CC the flow of water would tend to naturally miss the skimmer and be directed towards the top of the pool and then back left. It's not like your middle return can direct the water straight to the skimmer, and the little inlet part of the kidney would...

AutoPilot Digital Nano or Pentair Intellichlor IC40......Let the battle begin!

Only thing I can think of with rain (a lot) is it would dilute water, lower salt concentration. But I'd think this would be a given - if you have a SWG you have to maintain the salt to within the manufacturers specifications. Doesn't mean the SWG doesn't work correctly. As for brand, I'd...

Greetings, New pool owner/renter, complete noob

Eh, it's not rocket surgery - only chemistry ;) I wouldn't worry about it too much until you get your kit. Just guesstimate it with poolmath, you'll be fine. Even if you use 2X as much as you need it won't hurt anything but your pocketbook by a small amount.

    SWG Experiences and Recommendations?

An ic60 (or other 60k gallon unit) would be large enough. The recommendation to go oversized is related to how often you have to replace. A 60k gallon unit will produce enough chlorine but you might have to replace the cell e.g. every 3 years versus 4 years. You still might be better off...

    Thinking about installing an IC40

If you do have pH issues you can put in an intelliph system. Works great with ic40 and I love mine.

    IC40 self cleaning cycle..

Thanks, I changed mine to 5 - didn't realize the button was on the IC40 itself and not on the controller (in my case, IntelliPH or Easytouch).

    IC40 self cleaning cycle..

A few quick questions... I see in the manual that with the bog standard IC40 you can easily change the self-cleaning cycle by holding down the less/more buttons. If I'm using an EasyTouch is this setting just buried somewhere in the settings? I was hoping to see it in my handy-dandy Screenlogic...

My user name says it all!

I know draining to solve problems is frowned upon and almost never necessary, but I think at some point if you're spending a few hundred on chemicals to try to clean it up I'd rather just drain the thing, clean it out a bit, and refill with new water and spend the same or less on startup chems...

    Where is my chlorine going?!?!

Re: SWG and cannot hold chlorine - TF100 results available Your pH looks low for sure, I would go to poolmath and plug in your numbers, you probably have a significantly low CSI, though depends on how warm it is there in PA ;) If possible I would aerate to raise your pH somewhere in the...

    Moving in next week

Yeah, I moved in to my first pool a few years ago too. Had pucks when I moved in, pool was mostly OK but I just had some guy come take care of it (expensive). Started getting green water periodically, hard to fix, etc.. as this site would tell you. So drained to get CYA under control, changed...

Pool Cleaners You Can Leave in 24/7/

I'm a pretty big nerd and usually anything with "robot" in it is very tempting, but I can't (for my pool/needs, YMMV of course) justify a robotic cleaner. I have a ThePoolCleaner and the thing works great, I leave it in 24x7/365, no maintenance, 0 issues so far. The robots would get up the...

    IntelliPH overflow...

Hi - My IntelliPH was dry so I added 4 gallons of acid to it. I then did a manual pump and the overflow valve leaked what looked like a few ounces of acid, maybe half a cup or something. I got a big pan of water and doused it over where it leaked and on top. A few questions.. Will the acid eat...

Looking for feedback from SWG users with VS, VF, or 2-speed pumps

My experience with an IC40 matches up pretty closely with pooldv's. I tried 800, it worked for a bit but shut on and off. 900RPMs and it seemed to work pretty steadily, but it's new. I went with 1000RPMs to be safe.

Milky water and FC too high to measure!

Is it possible the color change for the FC test is just hard to notice due to the cloudiness of the water?
