Hmmmm... Good point. The main drain goes back to a T right before the pump. The skimmer line runs to the T as well and they both meet up with a valve at the T and then go into the pump. These pipes look like they have had calk or something on them to prevent leaks before and they have the metal...

56 degrees for pool temp this past weekend here in Syracuse, NY. We got to around 85 degrees in outside temp this past Saturday. The morning of the pool started at about 52 degrees. We added some fresh water which was chilly so it might have warmed up some more if we wernt adding water.

todays test results FC 3 CC under .5 TC 3 PH 7.5 T/A 160 CYA 30 Temp 76 going to add some more bleach to bring the FC back up to 5 also going to add some more stabalizer to get it up around 50,will use the pool calculator to figure our the right amount.

Tell me about it. Our pool water was just filled a week ago and its already 76. And we are all they way up in NY. At this rate we will be 86 by next week. Its increased 1 degree per day with just the sun.

tonights test results; FC 2.5 CC under .5 TC 2-3 Ph 7.5 Temp 76 so i added 70 oz of 6% bleach. to bring it up to FC 5. tomorrow im going to test my CYA. and then i will see if its because of the sun and not having enough CYA in there and thats why its depleting so fast.
