No, the solar valve remains on with the pump cycling off for a 1/2 minute or so. Doesn't matter if the valve is open or closed either.

If that includes the various vat type taxes you pay in Canada that's a fair price IMHO. The specs listed look excellent for things like backfill, plumbing and concrete work.

Yes. You need a relay for the light. You could do the pump too, up to 3 relays will fit the box.

I did the aluminum fence around our pool myself 3 summers ago. Purchased the fence over the internet, hired a company to core drill the holes then I did the install and concreting myself.
