I usually fight high pH. I know that when my pool has lost that "sparkle" I need to add acid. After testing that is almost always confirmed. Test that pH.

Quite a surprise when that head poked out when I opened the lid. Also had a swimmer one morning. Both were copperheads (very common here on the river). Both dispatched quickly.

Anyone able to help? Did find that is American Products niche. Measure 9-3/4 inches. Isn't there an adapter ring that might work?

Thanks for the response. I am using 31.45% acid. Do have a fountain but I bet we don't run it more than a few hours a week. None in the last week.
