I'm replacing the pump that's there now with the exact same model - so, it should be fine. However, how can I tell which way it is hooked up now ( 120 vs 240 ) ? I would really like to know so I can go ahead and order the timer so they can be installed at the same time.

So, why are there 2 voltage options listed on the pump? I'm guessing this means it can be connected via a 115 or 230 volt terminal, which would dictate which timer to get (101 vs 104) so I need to figure out which voltage is going to be used when installing the pump.

If the pool is leaking wouldn't that be resolved by replacing the liner... and what makes you think there is a ground water issue ?

Ok, The pool is inground. ~22K gallon & oddly shaped... this morning I looked out the window and saw that the liner has pulled away from the wall and now the majority of it is floating on top of the water (it seems that the only part not floating is the part under the drain in the bottom)...

My 'Poolvergnugen' does alright, but it doesn't like the shallow end at all... it gets there (eventually) and then hits the wall, lays down on its side and gose in circles until it finally reaches the slope to the deep end and then it rights itself.. ... of-course, I have a kidney shaped pool...

ok... added ~half box of baking soda (4lb box) waited about an hour and half and tested PH again.... PH = 7.5 now (or best I can tell.... the color comparison thing is a little subjective).

Yes, that helped a great deal and was exaclty the type of answer I was looking for... I purchased the items on the list and added 2 x 174 oz bottles 6% bleach to the pool 2 days ago (removed the chlorine tab from the skimmer 1 day ago as I forgot about it being in there when adding the bleach)...
