I just went through 2 failed SLAMS. On the 3 try I used higher slam numbers and stayed with it until I passed the OCLT test. If you don't go all the way with the SLAM the algae will come right back when FC levels drop.

I always angle the returns to sweep the surface junk to the skimmers. My pool leak guy said don't break the surface with the returns. He claims I will use much more CL if I do this? What do you think?
