Channel around pool steps? What is this thing?

Way Off Topic - Air Duct cleaning - helpful or a rip off?

I just replace my air filters every couple of months. The whole air duct cleaning is a bunch of "snake oil" (if you will). By just replacing the filters and buying a better quality filter you will significantly reduce the dust you are seeing.

I had the same problem last week with they high CYA (>100). I got the Taylor test kit and verified the results. I drained over 1/2 my pool and re-filled (this was hard to swallow due to all the problem we had with our pool build). I had to empty and re-fill the pool 5 other times due to builder...

It at is what I am hoping for. My fingers will be crossed. Waiting for this pool to empty, to where I want it to, is as bad as watching for water to boil

New Pool, Newbie - What to do next

Thanks for the advice up to this point. This is aggravating up to this point, but once this is fixed I can relax, a little. I am just the type of person that when something is not right or broken, I want to fix it immediately.

New Pool, Newbie - What to do next

They told me a range of CYA between 85-200 is the recommended range. That is why when I read here that it should be considerably lower, I got MAD. They also said to maintain a Chlorine level between 1.5-3. SO....the best thing to do is swap out 50% of the water??? (the wife will not be happy)

New Pool, Newbie - What to do next

I got the K-2006. Yesterday, at the pool store they had my CYA at 85. Last week they told me to add the BioGuard Stabilizer 100, which I learned after was cyanuric acid. That was about 9 days ago. After the concrete was all cleaned out of the pool they told me to add 2lbs of the Easy Shock...

New Pool, Newbie - What to do next

We began our pool build last year but it got cut short due to the weather changing drastically in the N.E. We are finishing up now and I have had the water going for about 2 weeks. Water looks clear and I have been going to the Local Pool store for "Free Testing" using their computer. The...
