    New test results

    Now that I have my new K-2006 and added some bleach and CYA per previous suggestions from the forum, here is my initial test results. FC 3 CC .04 PH 7.2 TA 50 CH 80 CYA 40 I guess I should buy some Calcium Hardness. Standing by with more bleach and baking soda :).

    I completely drained and refilled the pool from a hose so the water is "fresh". To the eye it's crystal clear. I have a K2006 test kit on the way but in the mean time I took a bottle of water to the local pool store. This is the results and their recommendations. How does this sound? Results...

    Drain and refill, now what

    I just drained the pool to do some repairs: seal a crack, reattach some tile pieces, and sand the pool to smooth out the surface due to scaling and touch up some stains. I need a resurfacing but this will buy me some time. Filling with a hose and the pool should be full by this evening...
