Did you get this figured out? I have a similar setup and hook mine to the wall intake with the supplied hose and cone connector. I do not use the in-wall skimmer and vacuum plate as this seems to introduce air into the pump and cause problems there. Are you trying to convert from 1 1/2" to 1 1/4"?
