Sudden rip in liner (PHOTO). Need suggestions

IMO I would go ahead and replace the liner. I would be worried that if the liner is already that brittle you will get more tears before the winter is over. It would cost you a whole lot more in repairs if the liner rips before next year and your water table is high and pool floats or causes...

About to get a Sport Pool. Will my daughter hate me? Am I just Cheap?

My AG pool is only 4.5' deep and my niece and nephew, ages 6 and 7, can touch the bottom fine. IMO I don't think you will end up being happy with that shallow of a pool.

Need to SLAM, just ordered testing kit.

Megsy dont panic ! Take a deep breath. Everything will be easy peasy. :calm::D The slam is the hard part and your doing GREAT at it. Between everyone here at TFP and Pool Math everything will be adjusted perfectly and the green monster will never come back.

Full sun, clear cover, CYA 55... And FC zero by end of day after SLAM

When you are doing the overnight chlorine loss test and your last testing in the evening are you taking the sample after the pump has ran at least 30 min?

New above ground oval 18x33 install

Oh no!:taped: I would be so angry! Could you not buy a Intex or slash pool and put it up yourself? You have done such a great job with the setup of the pump and site prep.

Robot.. WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR AG POOL

I tried out the new dolphin this morning. It did a great job. I dropped it in went to the farmers market and came home to cook breakfast and by the time I was done so was the robot. Pros: Had no problem going over the uneven floor (foot prints) of the pool. Covered the whole surface quickly...

Robot.. WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR AG POOL

I'm so excited! :whoot: I bought the Dolphin Active 10 today. It was dark by the time I made it home so I haven't tried it out yet. I will first thing in the morning and let you all know what kind of job it does. :D

Robot.. WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR AG POOL

I think it's a combination of things, steps, rail, and fence, that make it difficult to hook up the hoses. I snapped some pics to give you an idea. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk

Robot.. WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR AG POOL

You all are GREAT! Thanks so much for all the wonderful info. Looks like a lot of ppl love the Pool Rover/Aquabot robots. But the same complaints for the cord getting twisted badly and the problem getting to the filter bag. Zea3, f3justusc, brianc636, and linda1 would you purchase the Rover...

Robot.. WHAT DO YOU USE FOR YOUR AG POOL

Thanks so much for your reply Zea3. I don't have a lot of leaves or twigs just a lot of fine dirt/pollen. My pool is only about 20 ft from a main road so I get a lot of road dust. Also the bottom of my pool floor isn't smooth. Do you think the Pool Rover would work good for me?

    Opinions please

Joelin thank you for responding. The Baracuda is the zodiac ranger. I just sold it to my mother because I hated hooking it up. I don't want to deal with hooking up hoses anymore. It's such a pain the way my deck is built trying to get to the pump to prime the hose and then turn it off etc...

    Opinions please

I was looking at the Dolphin Nautilus but I couldn't find any reviews of ppl using it with a above ground. I know it's probably overkill but I want a good one. Do you think it would work with the dips in my floor and with it being an above ground?

    Opinions please

Decided to get a robot to make things a little easier. I have searched to see what most ppl have and like but haven't found any info that is similar to my pool. My pool bottom is not smooth at all. I had the pool the pool installed by a professional but he didn't do a good job. There is foot...

Hello CrackerJack. Stabilizer/conditioner is your CYA. You don't want to add anymore right now but you may have to add a little more when your slam is done. I keep mine around 40 sometimes I'll go a little higher if we have an extremely hot summer or my pool is not holding chlorine very...

I would use 55 as your level for cya. So your slam level for FC is 22.

    Pool blues (not the water)

I would bring it to SLAM level tonight. Retest 30 min after adding chlorine and test FC level in the morning before the sun hits the pool to see how much your losing during the night. You may need to use skimmer socks to filter out the remaining dust/dead algae. We have had some major storms...

    Pool blues (not the water)

Welcome to TFP. Are you sure the dust that you are brushing isn't pollen instead of algae? I would do an "Over Night Loss Test" to see if it's algae. If you lose less than 1ppm of chorine then it may be pollen. - - - Updated - - - How's the water look now? Cloudy, green, or clear...

What was in your pool this morning?

He has a year left before retirement. As long as everything goes as planned (budget) we will probably sell and move. So excited can't wait. :D
