So recently our automatic pool cleaner started getting stuck on the main drain in our pool. So I was thinking there should be some sort of heavy rubber circular ramp a person could buy to soften the angle of the grate. I can't find anything like that. Any ideas?

hi there, I'm looking at a 40K SWG in the $700.00 range. Mainly the two I found is the In The Swim A2382 and the Inyopool PL7700. Or if you have a better option, I'd appreciate some ideas. Thanks Jason.

CL will be your best bet. Even ebay for a new one. I would suggest not getting a slide. Our daughter, family and friends did love it, but it was pretty much a hassle, one kid not going up the ladder fast enough, one sitting up there too long..... We had an "adult" party a few years back...

Our neighbor installed 2 bat houses. We do not have a mosquito problem at all. I might do the same. In fact, I seen one of them flying around last evening, was pretty neat.

Not to highjack but, after replacing my skimmer line you should see mine "spiral". I had to go get a beer and watch it for a while. Was such an improvement from the "no spiral - barley any water moving". My spiral isn't enough that it would suck air, I don't think. I'll get another beer tonight!

We ended up with 30 gallons, should get us through most of the summer. I actually work a PT job at Lowes and did feel a little guilty shopping at Menards....

Menards... I can't believe I shopped there, I work a PT job at Lowes. But they have 12.5 Liquid Chlorine for 1.98 a gallon.

I bought an endoscope off ebay for around 20 bucks to run down my lines. I worked like a champ. I have a friend at work, she has borrowed it to do the same. She suspects the main drain line is broken. I'd suggest buying one of them. I bought the 15' model, she ended up buying a 45' model since...

If you are loosing that much water you have more than a cracked line. How far from your skimmer to the pump? Does the skimmer move any water at all to the pump? You can test by pulling out the basked and sticking your hand down there. In the bottom of your skimmer is "might" be two inlets? what...

If you look at my pics from my New Skimmer Line thread. I believe 7K pretty pricey. My brother-in-law, wife and myself replaced our skimmer line. I'm guessing this project might run about 200 - 250.00. I've only got to pour concrete to finish. It was a nasty job. Cutting the concrete sucked...

Having just replaced a skimmer line, I'd suggest if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It appears I can go with either a 1.5 or a 2" skimmer line. Since I'm going to be replacing the entire thing up to the ball valve which is 1.5. What would you recommend me to do? Thanks Jason.

Well, We cut, dug and dug more. The skimmer line was kinked..... Still gonna run a new line since we cut a strip of of the patio.... Can't tell if I'm upset we cut the concrete like we did, would have been much easier to cut the square where the skimmer is. What's done is done and will be glad...

Well I began this project the other evening. I have to cut about 25' strip of our patio, still need to cut out a square near the skimmer and dig down to the bottom of the skimmer. My body is killing me so far.... I'll try to post pics of this project.

I would like to throw out a suggestion for a repair thread. I am fighting a partially clogged skimmer line. It'd be nice to have a thread for DIY repairs.
