On my setup the smaller orifice are in the steps area and the larger ones go in the main body of the pool. Kinda like starting small at the top and getting bigger going down hill to the main drain.

It would depend on the equipment being used by the PB. Someway somehow they need to remove the dirt from the back yard out to the front in between houses. They will either use an excavator and back a truck into the back yard and load it that way, or use a Bobcat skidsteer and make many trips out...

I would consider a controller for the whole setup. Like an EASYTOUCH system. You can control landscaping lights , pool lights, pump and any water features. I would also get an intelliflo VS pump. You can also control the speed of the pump from the EASYTOUCH system. I love my setup.

If the freeze protection is turned off on the various programs and the pump cycles on & off still. It is the internal freeze protection of the pump. The only way to stop this is to remove power to the pump. I would personally not do this just in case of. You never know.

It will depend on what firmware you have now. If the pump is cycling due to freeze protection it could be: Freeze protection is on for the pool is on for the spa...

Sorry gujjuman but I am not try to hijack this thread. Carlscan 26 I use the 3/8" nozzles. I started out using the 1/4" nozzles but that didn't produce enough flow for the swg to work. So I changed to the 3/8" nozzles and things work great.

What kind of pump do you have? Even with the freeze protection turned off on the Easytouch, some Pentair pumps have a freeze protection built right into the pump.

My advise would be to not use the "Service Mode or Countdown". Instead setup an EGGTIMER.Under the schedule screen you can set up an "eggtimer" on the circuit you want to control. Hey I saved a lot of $$$$ on these and they are the same thing as the others. http://www.locline.com/half-inch.php I used them on my installation in the planter and the work great.

When the solar cover has been on the pool for the week. I will take the garden hose with a powerfull nozzle and wash everything towards the skimmer while the pump is running. Works pretty good. As for unrolling it they make a center rope pull for solar covers.

To check your version #. Goto your menu, then goto Diagnostics, then goto Software Rev. Your version will be displayed.

Just a side note. If you have a version 1.060 on your motherboard then you cannot upgrade.
