New Pool Build -- Pearland, TX

It has been awhile since my last post. Pool dig started Feb 16 and then filled on March 19. Not bad. This week we took advantage of the spa. Here are some pics. In addition to the pool we built a new pergola and significant landscaping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Pool Build -- Pearland, TX

Live update: plaster installers showed up this morning. They were concerned with the expected rain as was I. They plaster grouted our step indicators and then called it a day. Will be back Monday. Last thing I wanted was rain to streak the dark plaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We dealt directly with Brad. He coordinates all the contractors and shows up when we have questions. Pretty responsive. His wife runs their office with a very friendly staff that supports the design proposals. They were very helpful when we were selecting our coping, tile and plaster color...

New Pool Build - Trouble Struck! Please help 2.1.14

Blue granite was always my top choice. This short break with out rain has really helped make progress on pools in our area. They completed tile yesterday and formed decking on our pool today.

New pool - guidance on test kit

Thanks for the guidance. I guess I'm use to flying Southwest Airlines (SWA) versus discussing a SWG. :-)

New pool - guidance on test kit

I recently ordered the TF-100 kit but then realized I should have asked for a little guidance first. The pool which is still being built will be SWA. Is there any additional items I should have ordered to support a SWA pool? The kit came with R0011L which is in a container marked "chlorine...

Made some progress today. Electrician finished up as well. I had him also run power in prep for the pergola. Expecting rain tomorrow. Yard is already a straight mud pit. Right now I'm very interested in getting decking in so I can use the grill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not much progress since the gunite was poured 8 days ago. Electrical work started and I removed our old pergola.

New Pool Build -- Pearland, TX

In the one picture my son was "snow boarding" down the hill. Later I caught him attempting to "snow board" down a little slide into the hole using scrap wooden board. Caught his shirt before he really caught some air (or before he busted his head).

Well the dig and the gunite took place in a two day period. All went well except the 8' spa is turned out to be 9'. I wanted big but not that big. My wife points out that the kids will love the 'mini-pool' all year long. If this is the only issue, great! Will load more pics soon when time...
