Quarterwave, I'm relatively new with TFP, but you'll never be able to manage your pool water chemistry wihhout using one of the recommended test kits. The initial $$ outlay is small in comparison to what you'll spend using "strips" and buying recommended chemicals from the pool store. Honest.
