    Intex SWG Low Salt 91

According to my manual for the Intex "The ideal salt level in the pool water is between 2500-3500 ppm (parts per million). The optimal level is 3000 ppm." So you need to add salt. But I cannot taste the salt in my pool at all.

Out with the "Blob', in with the metal frame!

"Petroleum jelly keeps the surface sealed and lubricated when installing the outlet." No, no no! petroleum jelly will eat at your seals and the pool itself! You should be using a teflon/silicone lube. ( like this...

skimmer with double gasket in intex frame pool

Not sure if I would cut a hole that large with the pool 3/4 filled. I cut mine before I put any water in. The liner/wall of the pool goes in-between the wings of the butterfly gasket.

Question about using foam insulation under liner

If possible try and put the legs on a paver and have the top of the paver and the foam level. If not possible, the 1st year that I used foam under my pool with legs, the legs sat on the foam and only dented it maybe 1/2 inch.

Would this be a good used pool to buy?

They say they have the guide, so that is good news. However, the dealer is kind of snooty, for some reason. I saw them give someone a difficult time for getting parts for a pool they didn't purchase from them. I can handle them, but will have to use my swat team negotiating tactics! Sometimes...

Intex 20' round Ultra Frame- half full with bottom wrinkles

Re: Intex 20' round Ultra Frame- half full with bottom wrink I have been able to get some wrinkles out in another pool but it took a long time and lots of work with an old fashion toilet plunger (get a new one! LOL). Have lots of patience. A swimming mask/goggles and weight belt helps also.

    Leveling Question 24 ABG Round

Are you installing an Intex type pool or a perm. AGP? If and Intex type - on the deeper spots, I would fill with dirt, tamp and soak w/water. Let sit till dry and then re-level/smooth out with sand and tamp the entire area. If perm. AGP if it is just in the pool area and not the posts/wall area...

Deck around pool and skimmer cover?

I think you will be sorry down the lane if you do not build a box around the skimmer and put a hatch door in to access the entire skimmer. You need to be able to EASILY access the skimmer to clean it out or it will not get done as often as is should be.

Would this be a good used pool to buy?

Make sure all the pieces are there. Be prepared to do some rust removal/conversion. You will have to buy a new liner. Try and layout the pool in your backyard with a hose to help visualize what it will look/feel like 12X24 is not a real large pool (LOL I only have an 18') and is almost as much...

New 16' Intex AGP Family in CA

Steps that I used to create my origninal pool area: 1. Choose area, use a can of marking paint to paint a circle 2' larger that your pool. ie 18' pool = a 20' circle. 2. Cut sod off and dispose of. (if you do not do this it rots and stinks terrible) Rent a sod cutter either manual or powered. 3...

    Question concerning base for pool

When I bought my foam, Menards did not have the T&G. I suppose you could buy that and use construction adhesive like this: http://menards.com/main/paint/adhesives ... c-7921.htm and then tape it.

    Hayward Superpump Question.

The low speed RPM is 1725 I thought that the 1225 sounded strange. What are you trying to figure out That it only a 230 volt motor and the amp is 6.9/2.6 at 230 volt. With how unreadable the label is, I am guessing at those numbers. Used a magnifying glass to get as far as I did. I did plug it...
