I bypassed the sand filter and am just running the pump. Sock of cya is in the basket. I put in slightly less chlorine than required. I will test chlorine tomorrow. Thanks!

oops. I was wrong. My CYA is in very small granular form. I can tie in a sock and hang, but should I wait for until I have the pump on? Also, Dichlor is cheaper than CYA, and I can return either, but want to do what is best at this point. Thanks again.
