Beware of Scott's Green Max Southern Lawn fertilizer

We have been in our house two years with a pool. I refuse to even fertilize in the backyard with dogs and wind that can put the fertilizer on the decking. I would rather watch weeds and weak grass than get deck stains.

New Build Texas Hill Country *Updated Pics Coping 8/29 *

Re: Wahoo we're getting a Pool New Build Thoughts and Critiq 1) I've seen some freeform pools not look great with lights at night because of shadows caused by curves. I suggest you double-check with builder to confirm lights are in best location. 2) I like the idea of a handrail to get out...

    Courtyard Lap Pool (DFW)

Nice pool! Some thoughts.... 1) I don't know if you get lots of birds like down in the Rio Grande Valley. You might want to think about how to bird-proof those beams so you don't get every bird thinking you have a watering hole just for them. 2) If possible, you might want to think about...

Pool/Deck just finished it... 2 month project

Looks great! Do you have stairs going from the house to the ladder-side of the pool? Sometimes I wish we had an AGP instead of IGP. It is a pain in the *** to keep out grass clippings after mowing. We don't have trees in our backyard or neighbor trees.

I very, very slowly opened the manual relief valve for a short time to keep the bag in the pump basket. I quickly removed the cover on the basket and snatched the bag. Thanks for your suggestions.......hopefully I get enough experience to help others down the road.

Plstc bag blkng intake in basket...getting sucked back

If the gauge says zero, it's no longer pressurized, but it will drain down when the strainer is opened. You can't go fishing with a coat hanger or a plumber's snake? Or set a trap with some kind of wire hook attached to the basket and when it tries backing out it gets caught on the hook...

Plstc bag blkng intake in basket...getting sucked back

The plastic bag goes all the way into the pump strainer basket...it isn't a large bag but big enough to block the impeller intake. The bag retreats out of the basket once the manual relief valve is opened on the DE filter. I thought that the manual relief valve had to be opened before cover on...

Plstc bag blkng intake in basket...getting sucked back

Longtime lurker, first time posting...... lots of helpful people on these boards. I see a plastic bag blocking the impeller side of the pump basket on my Pentair WhisperFlo pump. When I release the manual relief valve on DE vertical filter, the plastic bag and loose grass gets suck back down...
