Lowered the PH to 7.2 for two days now and cloudiness got a little better. I started aerating tonight with the filter on high and inlet pointed up.

Bought an Intex swg and I guess they are only for Intex pools? We cannot find the right fitting to connect it to our current hose size. Checked Lowes, Home Depot and no one carries the fitting we need. Has anyone connect an Intex swg to a non Intex pool?

Went to the pool store for clarifier and the sales guy there told me to try something else. He gave me a bag of "shock", but it was not Chlorine it was something else. 54%potassium Peroxymonopersulfate 54% other ingred. Dumped the 1lb bag in and praying for the best.

well I got in today and scrubbed that sucker good. Got alot of algea out from under the ladder. Maybe thats what was causing it to be cloudy? Thinking we will take the ladder out after the summer and get a pool cover.

okay, FC should be down to zero after the sun all day. Ph is reading around 7.2. Poured 5 gallons of 6% bleach in tonight. We will see how it fairs in the morning. I will scrub away tomorrow.

Probably backwashed it 3 times in two weeks. Pressure holds steady under 20 when set on hi. I switched the pump to low thinking maybe it was rushing the water through the sand too quick and not filtering good. Had the pump on hi for a week straight. Last year we got it clear just running it on low.

Well tested this morning and the FC looks like it held to shock levels overnight! The PH still looks jacked up though. FC Should drop once the sun gets on it today and I will have my father in law test before the kids jump in this afternoon.
