    Alkalinity @ 140

    I added to much baking soda because I was reading the range from traditional pool instead of trouble free pool on the pool math calculator. So it's 140. Do I need to add acid to get the ph down to 7.2 even thought the calculator says it should be 7.5-7.8? Or if I leave it alone is that a problem...

    Salinity question

    Hi all. Had my aqua rite installed on Wednesday. Followed all instructions. Average salinity reads 4,200 and instant is 4,000. My % is set to 70. My FC yesterday was 1.0. My cya was 40. I know I have to get the cya up to 70. Should I turn down the % of salinity? Getting a little confusing Thanks

    Total alkalinity with SWG

    On the pool math app it shows range of AL @ 80-120 However, in one of your tutorials on SWG's , it's states that 60 is ok. What's correct?     Hi I opened my pool Tuesday. My cya was 30 ph 7.2 pool calculator had me add 355oz of bleach. Today mt cya is less than 20 and my chlorine is zero. What happened? At the end of last summer my cya was 180. Help please. Do I need stabilizer?

    I have to drain my pool about 48% according to the pool calculator on order to reduce a very high cya. Using my wate setting on my Haywood will probably take quite a while I assume. Would an additional submersible pump be a wise decision. Pool is closing on Friday. Thanks

    Crazy readings

    Ok with the Taylor test kit my reading is FC 14.5 Cya 100 Ph 7.2 Alk 110 I imagine my FC is high due to my cya level. Is it harmful with such a high chlorine level? I know I have to drain my pool to get the cya down In the meantime what can I do? Can't drain the water yet Thanks

    Rain and cya levels

    We have had a lot of rain lately so I had to dump some water Before that, my cya levels were 140. , now they are down to 100. Will a little dumping reduce the cya that much. I was planning on draining about 40% at end of season now I'm not so sure I will need to. Any thoughts?
