O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

You're right. I've made it half way through the season this way so I probably won't do anything this year anyway. When it happens again I will snap some pics. Can't thank you enough for trying.

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

It's humming right along right now. Could last for a few hours or a few days. Very frustrating. Thinking it might be fixed but ultimately having it leak again. Guess it could be a lemon. I'm not sure at this point.

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

There are two collars. One goes on and tightens. Then another one threads over the first. I may have over tightened the outer one and damaged the tank. At least that's what I'm thinking now. Also thinking about ending my frustration with a new cartridge filter. Seems wasteful considering the...

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

There's no groove with a lip or anything around it but there seems to be a flattened part it goes in to. I have tried putting it there and around the neck part that goes down in to the tank. Ty for the help btw.

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

When I take it apart it seems as though the gasket is not seated properly. So I take it out, clean it, lube it, put it back in to place and everything is...

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

It's the ring between the valve and the tank. I make sure I turn the pump off before changing the position of the handle.

O ring won't stay seated. Help please!

Ok I need some help. I have a carefree waterway sand filter with the multiport valve. A month ago it came unseated. The o ring did not look worn so I placed it back in using some lube. For a few days all was fine and then it came unseated again. So I bought a new o ring and since then the o...
