I've had 2 Ultraframe pools that lasted about 4 years each before rust got to them, but never had buckled legs. Installed a new one this summer and 2 legs have buckled on it. This is the new 2017 design. I think they made the legs weaker. BTW, where did you buy the new leg? I can't find them on...

That's actually quite informative, thanks. All my other readings are in line, so to me it just doesn't make sense to keep adding acid (unless there is something else I am missing).

The extension cord is on a gfci protected outlet, and I always unplug the extension cord when in the pool.

The problem is that there is no receptacle close enough to reach the pump, so swapping faceplates won't work. I am currently using an extension cord plugged into a 15 amp receptacle to run the Intex pump. The new pump is 9.8 amps and would be the only thing on that circuit.

I bought a 3/4 hp 9.8 amp pump for my Intex above ground pool. The pump came with a twist lock plug. Are adapters available to make it a standard 15 amp plug, and anyone knows who carries them. Or will I have to make a plug?

Where can you typically get sand for the filter, and which type? Will the sandbox sand at Lowes work?

Ok, one more question...how do I know how much sand to put in it?

I bought a used sand filter off Craigslist. I don't know the brand and there are no readable markings. Can anyone give me a clue as to which port is which? (i.e. can you tell by which side the pressure gauge is etc?) I'll be hooking this up to a 3/4 hp pump and 12000 gallon above ground pool...

Sorry to sound like I know nothing about pumps (I don't), so how does that compare to the Hayward one? Is the Hayward not TEFC?

So a totally enclosed fan cooled motor is something that stands out compared to the Hayward?
